July 28

TurboFire update
I am doing good but having a problem remember to blog. I was doing 55 yesterday and thinking about how hard it is to stay focused. I think this is why Beachbody wants you to do your measurements at 30 days. if you are following the program you should be seeing some improvements. I am down an inch in my waist.
As you all know I chat and log on sparkpeople, one of my spark friends is jumping on as a weight loss friend. I will call her Sue.
Sue is ready to jump back on at giving it her all to get rid of the last 5 -10 pounds.
Sue is one of my support people I turn to when the going gets tough. A good support group or person is important.

I'm not forgetting about this blog but I have to take care of a couple of things. I am still working out and doing Turbo Fire. I worked out with a trainer on Wed. Good work out but what I really want to make sure I have good form.

My eating. I am missing some old habits. I really have to think of how these old habit effected my health and body fat.

Always remember you are not alone.
I am looking into tap out. Someone was talking about it. It looks interresting. Turbo Fire is a kick boxing type of a workout.

Tues

I'm starting to forget what day of the challene this is but turbo fire was fun this morning. My body toning person at the gym on Sunday said to crank up the music on the turbo fire. Really there's a button for that. say yes for fire up the music. I wasn't always on beat but I did have a great time. If your doing this with me keep it up. I am feeling toning which is really good. I made hummus and cucumbers for breakfast and am taking some for lunch.

U-tubes

I was thinking of doing a couple of videos and putting them on u-tube. I do have a list I would like to do. Let me know what you think. I will find and post the list I came up with.

Day 28

I have to catch up on what is going on in my life of working out. I got up yesterday and did turbo fire 55. I did the new to class just to see what it was all about. So here is the scoop. It breaks down the workout so you can learn the moves. She goes through each move and what she is going to que it as. This is worth doing. If you are feeling the moves are to complex this is a good option.
I have been doing well on logging what I have eaten and staying with in calories till today. I had to go out for an ice cream cone with DH.
I worked out with my friend Cindy at the gym. Oh what a workout. We did "Total body workout" OM we did these running and sprinting and rope jumping and then the ab work. I kept thinking about how hard it was and that I wanted to quit but then I kept thinking "get going" because this is replacing my turbo fire workout. The ab work was a killer.

I feel like there is some improvement in my fitness. I can jog longer, I can lift more.

I am getting close to the first 30 days.

DaY 25

I have to be the first to say I have been slacking. I had to spend a couple of days in NY and I guess I really used that excuse to talk some slacker time. I did walk a ton in NY. I have been trying to get back on the ball. I did work out Monday & wed so far this week. I have been watching what I eat really close. While in NY we had really bad internet hook up so I couldn't keep up on the blogging.

Torbo fire 45 review. This was not the ez one. I tell you I am glad I am doing this for the first time in the comfort of my home. I had to look like a clown. These moves are not what I call easy to master but I was getting much better by the end of the 45 min. I just kept trying and giving it my best.
I am getting better and as I see the moves more than once I'm doing a lot better and it is getting more fun.

Review on Ice cream cravings. It's not as important as it was 3 weeks ago.

Traveling

So we are back frome traveling. I staped on the scale this mornig and it was like the biggest loser show. I really didn't know what to expect. Was I up? was I down? What did I eat last night ? I did have some of those pretzel chips. I started thinking of all these different things that could of made the scale go up. I did't really workout but I did walk a ton. 10 miles on 2 of the days but then we sat in a car for the last 2 days. well I am the same. Then I started think what if I wouldn't of had this or that but then I think the same is good. I did do a post while I was in NY so I will C/P it in here.

Up date on the turbo challenge. I was doing really good on all the tracking until this week. I had to run off to NY to do something.
We drove from the Midwest Monday night. I would really have to think of what we ate on the road. I did follow the 27 rules and think I did pretty good.
Tues, Ok This is my note to self. If you can’t log it right away write it down on anything, Even if it is on a napkin. The thing I do remember is the ok key do kee popcorn. We did do the cal X servings and came up for the whole bag 1200 cal. This did take me 2 days to eat it. Oh now I remember. We didn’t eat a meal on Monday night I just had the popcorn. We then got on the road and stopped and this plaza thing and had a Quesadilla cheese. I tried really hard to find something with some veggies on it. I was eating my popcorn while we were driving. We did get something to eat when we got to the Hotel in NY. I was so tired and so hungry. Our best choice was to split a veggie and swiss omlet. They served it with FF and toast. I had 1 of the toast and 1 FF
Wed. we go up and got into the city with out stopping for breakfast. I did get some coffee in the city. It was kind of hot so water tasted really good. I was waiting to eat with dear child so I walked around till she was done. Well somewhere in the afternoon one of those fruit smoothies sounded really good. Dear child is a vegetarian so it was kind of hard to find something good. I could of eaten fruit off the street carts. We did split a sandwich fresh Mozzarella and Tomato on a form of rye. It was really good.
When we got back to the hotel we did order a pizza. OH my the cheese. We were really hungry. My striiv said 25,000 steps when we headed back on the train.

So how am I doing on my work outs?
We did walk a lot today but Tues. we spent all day in a car. We did get out and walk as much as we could.
This is a real bummer that I can’t get on line but you just have to learn to deal with things. So just because I can’t log things does that mean I should go out and buy the latest greatest thing and get a phone that logs on and all the time just for 1 week. The new phones are really cool but, it really isn’t something I need so I guess I am just going to have to deal with life at low tech for a couple of days.

One of the days we went into this store like a whole foods and got lunch. We picked up a crandberry and walnut salad and then some fresh fruit. We then headed to the park. That was really nice. I did so enjoy that part of new york.

What we want to do and what we need to do to reach our goals are 2 different things. I can always think of another reason not to work out. I just read a review from one of my spark friends that said she really likes low 20 so I am off and running.

Day 13 Sat

I sent a e-mail to someone about this challenge so I had to C & P this here--

I tell you it is really hard but getting easier. Now what is getting harder is that I just want to say I give up, It's to much work. So I have to drive to NY this week so I am taking my laptop with so I can workout in the hotel room. I wanted to do this 100% and then I thought about life and life happens. What happens when you travel??? These are all things that everyone runs into and what do you do about it? You can't just go to the ranch and get fit or skinny or just work out.

How is it doing? I missed yesterday. I could an extra workout and catch up.. I think it was a core that I missed so I'm thinking that would be ok to do on the same day as 45ez.

Thoughts of the day. I'm feeling better that I may make it the whole 90 days with out quiting. I am feeling stronger. I am starting to look forward to the end result.

Day 12

I don't know what it was but I just didn't want to work out. I had things I had to get done in the afternoon so I had to get to work. I am having a few stress things so I just blew it off.
So how do I feel about doing that?? I guess I look at it like your going to do it too. I too just have those days.
So I had a couple of bananas for breakfast w/ peanutbutter. I felt sick after eating that bean dip the night before. I didn't feel as sick as I had a water inbalance. The bananas worked.
I missed lunch because I had a ton of stuff I needed to get done and I had to pick dear child up in the afternoon and stop at in-laws. We stopped for gas and DHusband got a coffee freeze drink. It was really good. I shared some of it with him. Had pizza at in-laws. It was really good. I cut it with a knife and ate it with a fork. You do eat slower that way. Had 3 squares. We also did have some ice cream. I did a passon the hot fudge. I figured total cal. about 1200 cal for the day.

How is it doing? I am starting to see the work outs are getting easier. I am really watching what I eat so I don't eat my burned calories back


Thoughts of the day. I had eggs this mornign with no cheese. I really didn't miss the cheese. Maybe this is the time you get to really enjoy the taste of other foods. Does everything have to havee cheese on it? If you eat everything with cheese on it you can really load up on the calories.

How is it doing? It was really hot today. Turbo fire day off but we did walk diring the day and went for a walk tonight. I almost feels strange not to work out today. Because it is so hot the fruit taste really good. I thought about eating ice cream because it is so hot but I did a pass on that. That Bean dip was really good with the cucumbers. Dear husband was eating some chips and salsa and I really didn't care.

Talking about deprived

I had to do a C & P to from a mail I did to someone on sparks. After I sent it I thought it was pretty good so I thought I would share it with you. It was from the turbo jam team leader looking for people to be friends of ned to turbo people. Having a workout friend is a great help for those down days.

I would love a friend. I started turbo fire last monday and am blogging about it on chatthefat.blogspot.com I have a chatthefatwi@gmail.com I am posting a few quick details everyday including the calories I track on sparks. I am also doing the summer 5%. I only have so much time to computer so I have to pick and choose. I do check in if there is something new going-on on the turbo fire board and then I have to check on people that are doing it and how they are doing and what I have to look forward to as far as their results. Still lovinng my striiv and wear it everyday. Turbo fire really kicks the steps up. It also reminds me to pick my feet up not just slide them. Let me know. I can work with anyone. This is the industry I want to break into as a health coach type of person. I have come to the conclusion that it is all how you think. When you can answer the question what are you deprived of and say,- nutrition, fin, fitness, health,flavor, just enjoying life you are ready. when you stop thinking I will be deprived of pie and cookies is when you have taken the first step. Pie and cookies will not protect you but the moves you learn in turbo fire might. I just ask and how is that cookie reward diet thinking working for you? I was really wild this past weekend and put whip cream on my watermelon. OM it was so good. I have to get to work Lynn

How is it doing? Well it is getting easier to get out of bed in the morning. I did fall back to sleep and in a 1/2 hour I looked at the clock and thought I can still get this done and got up and got it done. The steps are getting easier. I don't look quite as lost. I can keep up 75% of the time. It's when she changes something it takes a little to get the pattern down. It is all about counting. Once in a while I just have to fake it till I get it.


Thoughts of the day. The scake went up a pound this morning but that's ok. i thought about how many calories and high salt items I ate yesterday and life goes on. I am sitting in the sun in the back yard and oh do I feel good.

Day 7 of Turbo Fire

Went for a walk w/ DH because I only did part of the 40 min stretch I enjoyed the walk more.

How is it doing? I found my disk. Ran up and down the stairs trying to find it. The core disk started out pretty ez. Note the words started. I was feeling the burn saying "are you trying to kill me" by the end. The stretch 40 is like 40 min of yoga. Take note that this confirmed I hate Yoga. I think it is the biggest waste of time. Dear child says it is all about breathing. I will give you breathing, I wanted to toss some cookies from the up side down stuff. DC says you have to breath in on a 4 count and breath out on a 4 count. I think I need to take some sinus meds and try it again next time it comes up. Someone wanted me to try an invert machine in public. Are you crazy?? Anyone with sinus issues would know what I mean about this. Now I need to fix some computer stuff and get back to painting.


Thoughts of the day. I tell you I am at the point that I want to just say why am I doing this? Then i think because it is important to me. Then I have to start thinking how important. So to day I have a core 20 and stretch DVD to do. That should be ez. I can't even think right now. No it's not ez if it were then all people would be walking around with a six pack and not just in there pick-n-save bag. I do have to finish up my painting so I better get going I can't wait to start crossing some things off the list. This ceiling has been bugging me for the last 8 years. It time to start clearing my life plate.

I am enjoying watermelon being on sale. It is the whip cream thing that might not be good. Let me tell you how good it really is.
