I am writing for my new book, finishing my research.
Let’s talk about what we can learn from others. Never close your mind except for those people
that just say everything in moderation as they live at the gym and are power
lifters and still hang out at the bar half the night. Are you seeing a couple of patterns in this
statement? Look at patterns for what
they really are. Some of them talk about
how you can eat whatever as long as your workouts outweigh the calorie intake. It is still a form of binge and purge. This can be done with both food and liquids
or liquor. Really look at what the
person stands for. If your moderation
limits sweets to 1 a day, this is not the same as eating pizza in moderation
followed by ice cream, proceeded by a burger and fries. But it was all within moderation and under
calories. Please tell me the nutrition
level is in this list. As I talked to
someone at the gym she shared with me what works for her. It is a small change for her but it is a
change for the better. It is what works
for her. My input was, keep it up. You make changes as you see fit. If you don’t have a reason to change things
then you really don’t change. But you
lose weight so it is good right?
No! This is one form of a
yo-yo. You want to be thinner for a
vacation so you do it and gain it back, why?
Because you don’t have a real reason to change. Her reason is for her health. She is looking at what she eats because if
she is putting this much effort into working out she isn’t going to do self-sabotage
by eating crap. You make changes when
you have a need and not when someone else wants you too. You do what works for you and you need to stand
up and say, this works for me! As long
as it follows high nutrition I am on with it.
I look at any addiction
to be the same. Some people may say but you have to eat food as to drinking alcohol. Let’s look at things again. I say this a lot. Let’s look because I want to look at things
from a real objective point of view. I
want your input too. Please e-mail me your
thoughts. I don’t just want you to read
my opinion, I want you to think about what I am really trying to get to or
say. I want you to think. It’s not until you see things for what they
really are will you change you thinking and the statement of green chocolate
candies have to be healthy because they are green. With this thinking also healthy would be the
stuff that has been in the refrigerator for more than a couple of weeks.
But you have to eat food is a real valid point. I want you to have some fun by changing out
the word food for nutrition. You have to
eat nutrition. Now please look at the
foods you eat and put them into categories of high nutrition, pretty high nutrition,
mostly pretty good, just taste good, all out fun food. Are
you seeing where I am going with this?
Read your labels and make sure you are really looking at what’s in these
items marketed as food here in our stores.
Another way we could look at food items, the TV tells us this is good
for me, the TV tells me I deserve a break, the box says it’s healthy, or
someone else that doesn’t read labels tells you it is good or you are missing
out. There is no “just tell me what to
eat”.
Am I really hungry or could I just eat more? I am having an opinion on this. Think about how you eat most of the time, do you
eat till you are 80% full, full or so stuffed that you have to take a nap? Can you eat more? Should you eat more? Should you go do something? How is that life cleaning going or that I
need to get done list? You should eat
till 80% full and do something. Most of
us in the US where I am seeing real health problems, mostly because I live in the
US we follow the rule of eat till you can’t eat anymore. I believe this is most of the time followed
by I am never doing this again followed by I am starting my diet in the
morning.
This is all a real head scratcher. This is sounding like the pucker that says, I
will never do this again only to be at the bar again the next day. But you have to eat food. No!! You have to eat nutrition. Rate the nutrition in your meal are you
eating nutrition or stuff? Stop eating stuff and eat nutrition but don’t get
mad. You have to either cook or really
search to find nutrition but it is out there.
Write it down and remember what and where you ate. I also want you to remember how you feel
after. Yes!! Track how you feel after
you eat and refer to it so that every time you want to feel this way you learn
how you have to eat. You are missing out
on nutrition to keep the body strong. It
all keeps coming back to really thinking at your goals for your health.
I need to go get something done. Have a great day and replace food thinking with high nutrition.
